Policies and Procedures
•Please do not leave the classroom without permission.
•Be respectful of all people, supplies, and projects in the studio.
•Act in a mature manner. No swearing or inappropriate content.
It should be everyone’s goal to see that each student has the opportunity to work in this shared environment free of any disruptive or negative behaviors and attitudes. Failure to work together toward this goal will not be tolerated. Students will always be held accountable for cleaning their individual space during the last 5 minutes of class. Disciplinary actions will be taken for refusal to clean up and disruptive or negative behavior. If needed parent and administration will be notified.
Cell Phones
•NO PHONE CALLS IN THE CLASSROOM. FOR ANY REASON.
•No video recording without permission.
•No phones during instructional time.
Students will be allowed to use their cell phones during studio time. This means while students are working on their individual art projects they will be permitted to listen to music or research/take reference photos. If a student does not abide by this policy I reserves the right to revoke their cell phone privilege and they will receive a zero for their daily participation grade.
Attendance
Tardies: Being tardy is disruptive and limits the student's time to complete their work. When a student is tardy I will deduct half of their daily participation grade. It will be the student's responsibility to acquire the information they missed.
Absences: If a student is absent for any reason (excused or unexcused) they will be given an extension equivalent to the amount of time they missed to make-up assignments. Late work will be accepted for ONLY two weeks after the due date.
